The ISO Fortran 95 standard (ISO/IEC 1539-1:1997) is fully supported. In addition to support for the FORTRAN 66/77 and the Fortran 90 language specification standards, standard Fortran extensions (including the Unix industry standard features of pointers/structures, binary/octal/hex constants, etc.) are also provided. It supports the OpenMP Fortran API 1.1, the standard of parallel programming on SMP servers and SPARC64-GP optimization is also available.
A high-performance C Compiler is provided for scientific and technical computation. In addition to the support for the ANSI standard and Kerningham & Ritchie language specifications, the latest ISO C standard (ISO/IEC 9989:1999) is supported, so that legacy programs can be easily ported by a simple recompilation. In addition, as with the Fortran Compiler, the adopted optimization technology leads to acceleration of the execution speed of the resulting application. The OpenMP C and C++ API 1.0 is supported for parallel programming on SMP servers.
ANSI, ISO/IEC 14882:1998 and AT&T C++ specifications are supported, so that, legacy programs can be easily ported and high-speed execution can be realized by a simple recompilation. Furthermore, the execution performance with the C++ Compiler is greatly enhanced compared with the previous version. The OpenMP C and C++ API 1.0 is supported for parallel programming on SMP servers.
SSL II, a scientific numerical computation library, is offered as a component of the product package. SSL II includes some 270 different routines for solving mathematical problems such as linear and differential equations.
Workbench is an integrated development environment linked to the Fortran, C, and C++ Compilers. Comprised of Manager, Debugger, Sampler, Coverage, and Help components, the Workbench facilitates the tasks of compilation, execution, debugging, cost distribution analysis, etc., through the Motif based graphical user interface (GUI).
Visual Analyzer is a support tool for development and migration of programs written in the Fortran, C or C++ programming languages and provides a source analyzer function. Using this function, analysis reports and measurement results can either be output to files or printed.
Comprising Manager, Debugger and Parallel Sampler, the Parallel Analyzer assists the development of parallel programs with a graphical user interface.
