visualNastran 4Dby MSC Software
visualNastran 4D (vN4D) takes mechanical simulation to the next dimension by merging CAD, motion, FEA, and controls technologies into a single functional modeling system.
MSC.visualNastran 4D (vN4D) takes mechanical simulation to the next
dimension by merging CAD, motion, FEA, and controls technologies into a single
functional modeling system. Users can import a CAD drawing from SolidWorks®,
Solid Edge TM, Mechanical Desktop®, Inventor®, and Pro/Engineer®; perform motion
and FEA simulations; and link to a MATLAB®/Simulink® control system - all
within a single program. The easy-to-use vN4D interface enables you to rapidly
build complex models and test, refine and verify mechanical or biomechanical
assemblies.
- See your designs at work and measure their performance
- Compute forces, torques, friction, velocity, acceleration
- Simulate contact, collisions, and friction
- Calculate loads and stresses throughout the assembly, automatically
- Test control systems through MATLAB and Simulink
- Control your simulations with Visual Basic, or Excel
- Full associative integration with Mechanical Desktop and Inventor,
Pro/ENGINEER, Solid Edge and SolidWorks
- Support for virtually every other CAD system through industry standard
file formats such as ACIS (SAT), Parasolid, STEP, IGES and STL
- Convert your joint reaction forces and inertial loads (accelerations) to
distributed loads
- Perform automatic FEA linear stress and strain simulations at every time
stop or simulate individual time steps, using the proven MSC.Nastran FEA
solver technology. Support for normal modes and buckling FEA simulation is
also included.
- View results from MSC.Nastran binary ouput files
- Mark up (dimensioning, text annotations) your integrated motion and FEA
simulation to make it more informative
- Add animation effects (photorealistic rendering, texture mapping,
lights, cameras, keyframing) and export images and movies to make your
simulations more visually appealing for proposals and presentations.
